what is MovNat

MovNat is a physical education system for developing real world capability through Natural Movement.
This refers to the full range of motor skills that the human body has been “selected” to perform In order to survive our evolutionary history (ie Life)

From simple skills such as:

🌱Sitting
🌱Crawling
🌱Getting up
🌱Standing
🌱Walking
🌱Running

To more complex movements that require greater strength and skill:

🍃Barefoot walking/running
🍃Climbing
🍃Jumping on top of objects
🍃Lifting
🍃Carrying

MovNat aims to develop EFFECTIVENESS, EFFICIENCY, and ADAPTABILITY (in that order). The training is progressive and specific to each individual because MovNat prioritizes movement competence over conditioning. Although these two aspects of fitness are the foundation to achieve full capability; competence in movement is essential to progression.

If you are not progressing safely and appropriately you risk injury and pain. This is applied to all areas of life including recovery from injury , fitness routines, sport activities, hiking, running, weightlifting.

The highest goal of MovNat is adapatability... the more adaptive you respond to environmental and situational demands the more effective you will be!
