the mind body move system

What exactly is The Mind-Body system and what does it include? The Mind-Body Empowerment system begins with understanding your true value, where your power really comes from, how to take control of your mind, create powerful intentions that get you a body that functions the way that you want it too...

Here’s what the System includes:

1. Breathing

An internal movement your body NEEDS from the moment of birth to the moment you die, why not get to know it and use it instead of taking it for granted.I teach you to breathe efficiently which is an imperative skill to calming the mind and body, and one of the most IMPORTANT ways to improve movement and physical performance.

2. Awareness/ Mindfulness

We learn the art of paying attention in a particular way without judgement in the present moment. The only moment is the one you are in, let’s live it to the best of our ability!

3. Build Confidence and Courage

I believe having confidence within yourself will give you courage to embark against fear. Fear can be identified as anything that holds us back ie. “I want to do that but my knees are bad.” Or maybe you are scared (fear) that your knees will hurt? It’s all about how we look at things, how we approach them and how we can turn the bad into the good. Visualize the result you want instead of fearing the result of what COULD happen.

4. Be Open-minded

Are you ready to try a different way of thinking and moving? This program will present opportunities for you to do that and it will be your choice to challenge your comfort zone or sit back in complacency.

5. Builds Commitment

This is a lifestyle change, it is not your traditional gym exercise routine or daily run program. It is not intended to replace a current physical conditioning program; natural body movement will only compliment and improve it. This is a commitment to your life, your body, your freedom, your happiness! It won’t be easy but it WILL be FUN and PLAYFUL!

6. Patience

We learn to be patient with results. It didn’t take you one night to learn how to stand, you slipped and fell from time to time. Same thing now so don’t expect results overnight and remember to be easy on yourself.

7. Brings Connection

We take the time to connect to our minds, body and soul as well as connecting with nature and other human beings. When you become connected to yourself you become connected to those around you and you gather a sense of community. It’s very powerful.

8. Restorative

During our movement/ mindset sessions we are telling the mind and body what we want to change or to be different and we practice it. It is important to take time to rest and gather ourselves again this allows the brain to reprogram the body to comprehend the complexity of movement you just told it to do and adapt to it. We learn how to recover and how to use mindfulness to build resilience. Be easy on yourself here and know that sometimes less is more.

9. Increases Mobility

This is an obvious because when we practice natural body movement we redevelop the ability to move like kids again. Do yourself a favour and just imagine what it would feel like to be able to roll, crawl, stand, bend over, jump and even climb pain free and with more dexterity and confidence.

10. FUN and Celebration!

Have FUN! It will really be hard not to when you are running around outside jumping over stuff! Kids love watching adults run around the playground. Celebrate, what makes you feel really good! Do that and give yourself some respect for showing up! Use positive affirmations to affirm your self-worth and your commitment to your lifestyle change!
